The Marine is too Fast!

i played with phobos:

phobos speed 0.65
doom speed 0.85
baker speed 1.0 the most faster....

maybe you saw that when i used the artifact, becuase the artifact have berseker and increase the speed of phobos, about the monster are not small, are the same height of the classic monster, remember vulgar on roe is very small compared with the imp....

The bad: the spider's sprite seems to be moving sideways; I guess it wouldn't be that hard for the author to make it look like it's moving forward.

The good: everything else, although I think you should have let them fight each other without interference :P
Those weapon sprites look really good, the animation is very fluid.

also exist the forward animation but exist a trouble, the spidermastermind is not a md5, is a 3d max file, but the animation is very buggy, in base of this model i can make the small version, i mean arachnotron.
